Canlubang, Laguna – BuCor Director USEC GERALD Q BANTAG’s vision of Philippine Corrections Academy (PCA) is starting to be realized as the appointed working group directed by CT/CSUPT JOHN PAUL O SANTOS, the Acting Director for the Directorate of Administration, proceeded to the National Jail Management Penology Training Institute (NJMPTI) to convene with the institution’s Chief of Research and Academic Division, Dr Marilyn L Baysa on May 30, 2022.
Dr Baysa, being one of the brains in the creation of Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC), is one of the key advisers who will guide in the overall design of the Corrections Academy. PPSC is the premier educational institution for the training, human resource development and continuing education of all personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP). Dr Baysa’s expertise and management experiences will contribute to the actualization of the BuCor’s future academy. Adding to the significant details for the academy’s start-up are counsels given by NJMPTI’s Director, JSUPT HILBERT M FLOR, who as well extends his support and confidence on the completion of the grand project. Joining General Santos’ power group are C/SUPT ROBERT A VENERACION, the Acting Chief of Bucor’s Training Division and C/CINSP LUCIO C GUEVARRA, the Deputy Chief of Training Division. They are the key officials who are playing vital roles particularly in the creation of the curriculum for the PCA. The BuCor continues to be progressive and highly developed through the futuristic governance of USEC GERALD Q BANTAG, who remains the standard of true leadership.“Reforming Lives, Community Thrives”Contributor, CO1 Kathleen K Padsingan
