The Bureau of Corrections successfully conducted the Emergency Preparedness and Response Training on July 8-9, 2022 at New Conference Room, National Headquarters facilitated by the Training Division led by CTSO2 Rosa Lynn A Cordero, accompanied by CO1 Lalaine D Manzano and CO1 Marvin Taguiam.
The seminar formally commenced on July 8, 2022 preceded by CINSP MA CRISTALEE FERNANDEZ, Acting Chief, Admin Division and delivered his welcome remarks. Also, CCINSP LUCIO C GUEVARRA, Deputy Chief, Training Division, delivered an inspirational message on behalf of CTCSUPT JOHN PAUL O SANTOS, Acting Director, Directorate for Administration.
Topics were Disaster Risk Management, Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO), Bleeding and Shock, Soft Tissue Injuries, Musculoskeletal Care Injuries to the Head and Spine, Lifting Handling and Moving Patient, Body Mechanics, Emergency Carry, Spine Board Management, Splinting and Bandaging and Incident Command System Awareness discussed by the speakers from the University of Perpetual Help System-Dalta (UPHSD) led by Dr. Josephine Pineda Dasig accompanied by Mr. Vicente V. Lagunday, Engr. Alvin P. Santos, Mr. Randy S. Isnari, SFO1 Donabelle Barbado and Mr. Melvin Baisa.
This is to instill to the personnel of the BuCor the importance of emergency preparedness and to make sure that they know what to do should disaster strike. The BuCor under the leadership of USEC GERALD Q BANTAG steadily provides various trainings and seminar to ensure continuous professionalization and capacity development of personnel.
