BuCor Welcomes Leadership Advocate Anthony Pangilinan for Transformative Engagement

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) had the honor of welcoming Mr. Anthony N. Pangilinan, a renowned leadership advocate and motivational speaker, for a meaningful engagement that inspired new insights on purpose, empowerment, and transformative leadership on 13 October 2025 at the New Conference Room, National Headquarters in Muntinlupa City.
The event was attended by C/CSUPT CELSO S BRAVO, Officer-in-Charge, Office of the Deputy Director General for Reformation (ODDGR); Ms. JORDINE ROSE R. OCON, CrFA, MPS, Chief, Strategic Communications Office (SCO); along with all Division Chiefs and personnel under the Directorate for Reformation (DR).
The DR presented an audio-visual presentation highlighting the Bureau’s various Reformation Programs, which include Education and Training, Sports and Recreation, Moral and Spiritual Development, Behavior Modification, and Work and Livelihood.
During his talk, Mr. Pangilinan shared valuable perspectives on leadership, purpose, and empowerment, insights that deeply resonated with BuCor’s mission of transforming lives through holistic reformation.
The discussion highlighted the importance of continuous training and capacity-building for both Reformation Officers and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) to ensure the effectiveness, sustainability, and lasting impact of every reformation initiative. It also reaffirmed the Bureau’s commitment to preparing PDLs for successful reintegration into society. Overall, the engagement was both enriching and purpose-driven, strengthening the collective dedication to transformation, compassion, and collaboration within the agency.
With the strong and visionary leadership of the Director General, GENERAL GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret.), CESE, CCLH, the Bureau continues to advance its mission of building reformed, disciplined, and productive PDLs who are prepared to return to society with renewed purpose and hope.
