BuCor Commends Outstanding Personnel with Recognition Awards
The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) hosted its Recognition Awards Ceremony honoring outstanding personnel from various Operating Prisons and Penal Farms (OPPFs), on 16 December 2025 held in front of the Our Lady of Rosary Grotto.
The ceremony was attended by ASEC AL I PERRERAS, Deputy Director General for Administration (DDGA), along with ASEC GIL T TORRALBA, Deputy Director General for Operations (DDGO), CT/ CSUPT MA CECILIA V VILLANUEVA, Director, Directorate for Health and Welfare Services (DHWS)/Chief, New Bilibid Prison (NBP) Hospital, and other BuCor key officials.
The event highlighted individuals who have demonstrated exemplary performance, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the Bureau.

The Best Office awards were conferred upon the BuCor Land Control and Management Center (BLCMC) and the DHWS, acknowledging their consistent delivery of service and operational efficiency.
Moreover, the Best OPPF award was given to the Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm (IPPF). The awardees also received cash prizes in recognition of their outstanding performance, effective management, and significant contributions to institutional development.
The Bureau likewise paid tribute to the sacrifice and unwavering dedication of its veteran personnel by conferring plaques of appreciation to its oldest living retirees, namely Ms. Purita M Santos, in recognition of her 34 years of loyal service to the Bureau, and Ms. Erlinda O Rubiales, for her remarkable 41 years of committed service.
In addition, BuCor formally acknowledged MS. LIGAYA A DADOR and CT/CSUPT MARIA FE R MARQUEZ, MNSA, for their valuable contributions to the Bureau as they approach their retirement on 24 December 2025 and 31 December 2025, respectively.
The Recognition Awards Ceremony reflects the enduring commitment of the Bureau to fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and motivation within its ranks. BuCor reaffirms its dedication to strengthening professionalism and morale, ultimately advancing its mission of humane and effective corrections service.
