PAO Conducts Free Legal and Medical Consultation at NBP MaxSeCamp

On 22 January 2026, the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) visited the Maximum Security Camp (MaxSeCamp) of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City.
Led by DR. PERSIDA V RUEDA-ACOSTA, DSD, JD, Chief, PAO together with RPA REVELYN V RAMOS-DACPANO, ATTY. ERWIN P ERFE, M.D, Deputy Chief, PAO, and other medical and legal staff were warmly received at the Multi-Purpose Hall of NBP-MaxSeCamp by C/CINSP HENRY A AVILA, Camp Commander, NBP-MaxSeCamp, together with C/SINSP EVANGELINE A RABARA, Deputy Superintendent for Reformation, NBP-MaxSeCamp ensuring the smooth flow of the program and the peace and order of the visit.
The visit is part of the PAO’s Nationwide Legal, Medical, Jail Visitation, and Decongestion Program, in partnership with Manila Central University (MCU) Hospital, De Ocampo Memorial College of Dentistry, and Executive Optical which provided free legal consultation and medical services for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PsDL) which include physical consultations, dental and optical services, as well as giving free medicines and eyeglasses for PsDL with poor eyesight.
The successful conduct of free legal and medical services highlighted the ongoing reformation programs of the Bureau. This also strengthens the inter-agency and local stakeholder’s efforts and collaboration for PsDL focusing with their health and legal cases while being incarcerated within prison environment.
