NBP Conducts Muster Inspection and Awards Ceremony; SUPERINTENDENT BONCALES to Assume Post at SPPF
The New Bilibid Prison (NBP) conducted a muster inspection on 25 February 2026 at the Sunken Garden, NBP Reservation. The activity was led by CSSUPT ROGER O BONCALES, Superintendent, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure operational readiness and reinforce excellence and integrity in public service.
The inspection focused on assessing the discipline and preparedness of uniformed personnel. Officers were evaluated on compliance with prescribed standards, including the proper wearing of uniforms, adherence to grooming policies, and observance of decorum expected of correctional officers. The activity underscored the commitment of the Bureau to maintaining professionalism within the institution.
Following the inspection, an awarding ceremony was held to recognize various offices under NBP for their performance and dedication to duty. The recognition highlighted the collective efforts of personnel in upholding institutional standards and supporting the mandate of the Bureau.
In his message, CSSUPT BONCALES emphasized the importance of competence, discipline, and sustained readiness among personnel. He expressed his appreciation to officers and personnel for their cooperation and commitment during his tenure as Superintendent of NBP.
CSSUPT BONCALES also formally announced his transfer to the Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm (SPPF), where he will assume his new post. His reassignment marks the conclusion of his leadership at NBP and the beginning of continued service in another key correctional facility.
The muster inspection and awarding ceremony reaffirm the commitment of NBP to accountability, professionalism, and the highest standards of government service.
