On 26 May 2026, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), led by President and Chief Operating Officer ATTY. WILMA T. EISMA together with Vice President for the Corporate Social Responsibility Group, MS. NAEALLA ROSE M. BAINTO AGUINALDO, formally turned over a brand-new Toyota Hiace 2.8 Commuter Deluxe Patient Transport Vehicle to the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor). The turnover ceremony was held at the PAGCOR Corporate Office, MET Live Building, Macapagal Boulevard, Pasay City.
On behalf of BuCor, the vehicle was officially received by MR. WILLIAM M. TERRADO, Director of the Directorate for Logistics (DL). Also present during the ceremony were MS. MARIA CIELO O. MONSALUD, Director of the Directorate for External Relations and Reintegration Service (DERRS); C/CINSP EUSEBIO B DEL ROSARIO JR., Deputy Director of DERRS; CTO2 Lorenzo E Villanueva III, Acting Chief of the Motorpool Section under the Directorate for Engineering Services (DES) and Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs).
The newly donated patient transport vehicle is expected to significantly enhance BuCor’s mobility and operational response capability. It will primarily be utilized for the transport of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), as well as for rapid response operations during incidents and emergencies.
BuCor expressed its gratitude to PAGCOR for its continued support and valuable contribution to the agency’s mission of ensuring safe, humane, and efficient correctional service operations.
