Graduation Ceremony of COCBC Class 2024-01 “KASARIGAN”

The Graduation Ceremony of the Corrections Officer Custodial Basic Course (COCBC) Class 2024-01 “KASARIGAN,” composed of 17 male and 24 female graduates, was successfully conducted on September 20, 2024, at the CNTI Parade Ground, NBP Reservation, Muntinlupa City. The momentous occasion marked a significant milestone for the graduates and was graced by distinguished guests and officials.
The ceremony commenced with the arrival of ASEC GIL T TORRALBA as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. Other notable attendees included CT/SUPT ELSA A ALABADO, Acting Director of the Directorate for Administration; MR. DALMACIO L. CARINGAL, Director of the Directorate for Personnel Education and Training Service; C/CINSP LUCIO C GUEVARRA, Acting Director of CNTI; C/INSP ALLAN A ROSALES, Deputy Director and Commandant of CNTI; CTSO3 Christian D Cruz, Chief, Academic Affairs Division; and CTSO1 Henry M Bagaoisan, Chief Admin Division, CNTI Administration and Academic Staff, and BuCor Marching Band. The event was also attended by a host of other Bureau of Corrections officials, including Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Officers, who celebrated the efforts of the CNTI Family in supporting the graduates throughout their journey.
The event began with the Entry of Troops by the COCBC Class 2024-01 “KASARIGAN,” followed by the National Anthem and an Invocation led by Fr. Jessie Los Bañes, Service Chaplain. C/INSP ALLAN A ROSALES delivered the Welcome Remarks. The Confirmation of Graduates was conducted by MR. DALMACIO L. CARINGAL and presented by C/CINSP LUCIO C GUEVARRA.
The highlight of the ceremony was the awarding of Certificates of Completion and Recognition, presented by the Guest of Honor ASEC GIL T TORRALBA, and assisted by CT/SUPT ELSA A ALABADO, MR. DALMACIO L. CARINGAL, C/CINSP LUCIO C GUEVARRA, and C/INSP ALLAN A ROSALES. The top-performing trainees were honored for their outstanding achievements:

Top 2: CO1 Khezia B Constantino – 92.68%
Top 3: CO1 April Rose B Gozo – 91.74%
Top 4: CO1 Jessa K Balog – 90.18%
Top 5: CO1 Grena A Manfalang – 89.43%
Top 6: CO1 Jennylyn M Bautista – 89.40%
Top 7: CO1 Haizel A Mamilig – 89.01%
Top 8: CO1 Mary Ann L Perlaoan – 88.89%
Top 9: CO1 Rechelle V Sison – 88.85%
Top 10: CTO1 Jerome Martell G Delgado – 88.29%
In addition to these academic accolades, Special Awards were presented to graduates for their leadership and tactical excellence:

Marksmanship Award – Top Gun (Male): CO1 Aeron Jay P Alvarez
Marksmanship Award – Top Gun (Female): CO1 Jessa K Balog
Bernardo Carpio Award – Strongman: CO1 Jericho A Nicod-am
Bernardo Carpio Award – Strongwoman: CO1 Angelica Delgado
The event also recognized participants in the “JUST ONE FUN RUN” held on September 15, 2024, at Vermosa, Imus, Cavite, led by CO3 Cruzado B Alindayo. Certificates were awarded to:
CO1 Lovelyn Pacas – 3rd Placer, 10-km Female Category
CO1 Angelica Delgado – 9th Placer, 10-km Female Category
CO1 Jack Gayaso – 7th Placer, 10-km Male Category
CO1 Joven Rey Castillo – 8th Placer, 10-km Male Category
CO1 Jericho Nicod-am – 9th Placer, 10-km Male Category
The ceremony proceeded with the Keynote Address delivered by ASEC GIL T TORRALBA, followed by the presentation of a memento to the Guest of Honor and Speaker. The event concluded with the Pass and Review by the COCBC Class 2024-01 “KASARIGAN” and the singing of the BuCor Hymn.
The Graduation Ceremony was a proud moment for the new graduates, marking the beginning of their journey in public service, and a testament to the support and guidance provided by the Bureau of Corrections Training Institute (CNTI).
