BuCor celebrates Women’s Month Kick-off Ceremony

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) kickstarted its week-long celebration on Women’s Month with the recurring theme “WE for gender equality and inclusive society” which coincides with the traditional Monday flag raising on March 04, 2024.
The event started with a Celebratory Mass held at the Grotto in front of the Administrative Building and the Opening of the Women’s Month Bazaar, embodying a celebration of women’s achievements and empowerment.
Capping the Kick-off Ceremony was the Lady Riders BuCor Motorcade organized by the Bilibid Riders Club (BRC) which started from the Administrative Grounds of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) Reservation, traversed through Alabang, Muntinlupa, and triumphantly looped back to the NBP Reservation.
Various activities are lined up for the one-week celebration spotlighting the achievements of women raising awareness, and addressing issues related to gender equality and women empowerment.
The highlight will be on March 8, concluding the event with a Social Night for Women, urging attendees to wear Casual attire with a purple top. Preceding this, a Medical Mission for Women of BuCor is scheduled for March 5, 2024, emphasizing the importance of healthcare. This will be followed by a Fun Walk on March 6, 2024, promoting wellness, and a lively Zumba session on March 7, 2024, to round out the event series with energetic enthusiasm.
