The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) bestowed commendations on its two officials for their notable accomplishments and outstanding contributions to the Bureau during the traditional Monday flag-raising ceremony held today, August 05, 2024.
CT/CSUPT MA. CECILIA V VILLANUEVA, MD, Director, Directorate for Health and Welfare Services, alongside C/CINSP EDUARDO P GOGORZA, Acting Director, Directorate for Security and Operations, were both awarded letters of commendation signed by Director General GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret.), CESE, CCLH for their exemplary leadership and top-notch public service.
CT/CSUPT VILLANUEVA’s contributions have been pivotal in advancing health initiatives within correctional facilities, ensuring that Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) receive proper medical care and support. Meanwhile, C/CINSP GOGORZA’s leadership in the overall security operations of BuCor has significantly improved safety protocols, contributing to a more secure environment for personnel and PDLs alike.
The commendations serve as a recognition of their achievements and an inspiration for BuCor personnel to strive for excellence in their respective roles.
