The 966 members of the Corrections Officer Custodial Basic Course (COCBC) Class 01-2023 “PAYONIRUS” (Pagwasto Ayon sa Integridad Reporma Ukol sa Hangarin ng Makabagong Kawanihan ng Koreksyon sa Mukha ng Bagong Pilipinas) were recognized on March 05, 2024, in a ceremony facilitated by the Corrections National Training Institute (CNTI).
The Recognition Ceremony was attended by C/CINSP ROGER O BONCALES, Acting Superintendent of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP), as Guest of Honor and Speaker. Also present were C/SSUPT GERARDO F PADILLA, PhD, CSMS, Acting Director, Directorate for Reformation, CT/SUPT ELSA A ALABADO, Acting Director, Directorate for Administration, C/CINSP LUCIO C GUEVARRA, Acting Director, CNTI, C/SINSP MARLON E MANGUBAT, Chief, Public Information Office, C/INSP ALLAN A ROSALES, Commandant, Applied Training Division (ATD), Commander DALMACIO L CARINGAL, PCGA, Executive Assistant IV, and Ms. LIGAYA A DADOR, Chief, Human Resource Division.
The simultaneous Recognition Rites were the result of the ongoing decentralized COCBC training. The Local CNTI of each Operating Prison and Penal Farm (OPPF) participated in the ceremony held at the CNTI National Headquarters (NHQ) via video conferencing.
C/INSP ROSALES presented the 966 members of Class 01 – 2023 “PAYONIRUS”, composed of 665 males and 301 females, and was declared recognized by C/CINSP GUEVARRA.
Of the total number, 504 are from the New Bilibid Prison-NHQ (NBP-NHQ), 188 from Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF), 80 from Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm (SPPF), 77 from Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm (IPPF), 60 from San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm (SRPPF), and 57 from Leyte Regional Prison (LRP).
C/CINSP BONCALES challenged the Class 01 – 2023 “PAYONIRUS” to improve and enhance their knowledge to ensure they fulfill their duties and responsibilities with excellence and not become like those who violated the rules in the line of duty.
