Forty-two members of the Officers Candidate Course for Custodial (OCC-C) Class 01-2022 “UNANG HIRANG” celebrated their graduation in a ceremony held at the New Conference Room of the National Headquarters on August 26, 2024.
The OCC-C, conducted by the Corrections National Training Institute, spanned two phases. The first phase ran from August 24, 2022, to November 29, 2022, with the course recommencing from March 11, 2024, to April 19, 2024. This comprehensive training program featured Corrections Inspectors and was designed to rigorously prepare participants to meet the mental, physical, and emotional demands required to earn a commission as senior officers within the Bureau.
Graduates of the OCC-C are now equipped with enhanced supervisory and leadership capabilities, positioning them for mid-level roles where they will oversee critical responsibilities within their respective areas. The course is a crucial step in the continuous professional development of BuCor personnel, ensuring that the Bureau remains robust in its operations and leadership.
