On October 18, 2024, two distinguished officials of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) were promoted to higher ranks in recognition of their outstanding service and dedication to the corrections service. The newly promoted officials are ATTY IV FERDINAND V. BALDUMAN and DIRECTOR III CEASAR ANTHONY S. SOLIS.
The oath of office was administered by BuCor Director General GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret.) CESE, CCLH. The occasion was graced by ASEC AL I PERRERAS, AFP (Ret.), Deputy Director General for Administration (DDGA), BuCor Key Officials, and Commissioned and non-commissioned officers.
DG CATAPANG congratulated the promoted officials on their well-deserved promotion and reminded them that their promotion comes with higher responsibilities. He urged them to deliver on the expectations of their new positions.
The bureau remains committed to its objective of reforming not just the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), but also the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) itself. As part of this ongoing effort, promotions of officers will be integrated into the comprehensive reform initiative.
