The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) launched a two-day “Electronic Undas” for the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), spearheaded by C/CINSP ROGER O BONCALES through the Inmate Visitation Services Unit (IVSU) of the New Bilibid Prison Camps (Maximum, Medium, Minimum, and RDC), held on November 1-2, 2024, in observance of the All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
The electronic undas is a way of the institution to let the PDLs honor their deceased relatives and loved ones. Through this program, PDLs have the opportunity to participate in virtual activities that facilitate their expressions of remembrance for their beloved.
The BuCor continues to provide a supportive environment to the PDLs as they pay respect and celebrate the lives of those they have lost. This initiative fosters a sense of compassion and dedication to the service as they reform PDLs.
