The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) received its Level 2 Recognition (Process-defined Human Resource Management) of the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) awarded by the Civil Service Commission – National Capital Region (CSC-NCR) during the conduct of the traditional Flag Raising Ceremony (FRC) attended by ASEC AL I PERRERAS, Deputy Director General for Administration (DDGA), Commissioned Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers, Civilian Employees and Corrections Officer 1 Trainees on November 4, 2024, held at the National Headquarters façade, New Bilibid Prison Reservation, Muntinlupa City. The FRC was hosted by the Directorate for External Relations (DER), led by CT/SUPT NOEL M MARQUEZ.
The ceremony was graced by Director II Margarita G. Reyes of the Civil Service Commission National Capital Region (CSC-NCR), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Field Office who conferred the Certificate of Recognition to the Bureau of Corrections for obtaining Maturity Level 2 in the following Human Resource Systems under the enhanced PRIME-HRM namely: Recruitment, Selection and Placement; Performance Management; Learning and Development; and Rewards and Recognition. This award results from the bureau’s determination to promote people’s excellence for efficient and effective public service delivery.
ASEC AL I PERRERAS recognized this achievement and expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the CSC’s guidance and support. The bureau’s Human Resource Division aims for excellence in its Human Resource Services and continuously improves its management system.
Subsequently, a meeting was conducted to discuss the standards and credentials for promotion and ways to strengthen the Human Resource Division. Ms. Margarita G. Reyes kindly answered all the questions and offered suggestions for improvement.
Under the leadership of DIRECTOR GENERAL GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret), CESE, CCLH, the Bureau established processes that contributed to efficient and effective human resource management in line with national standards.
