The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) officially ushered in the holiday season with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held in front of its Administration Building, followed by the traditional Simbang Gabi at the Ina ng Awa Church within the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) Reservation on December 16, 2024.
The event was attended by BuCor Director General, GENERAL GREGORIO PIO P CATAPNG JR., AFP (Ret.), CESE, CCLH, alongside C/CSUPT CELSO S BRAVO; CT/CSUPT MARIA CECILIA VILLANUEVA, OIC- Deputy Director General for Reformation, and Director, Directorate for Health and Welfare Service; CT/CSUPT MARIA FE R MARQUEZ, Head Executive Assistant; and Mr. DALMACIO CARINGAL, Director, Directorate for Personnel Education and Training Services.
Through these activities, the Bureau emphasizes the importance of unity and community spirit, especially during the festive season.
