Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro – On 27 July 2025, the Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm (SPPF) initiated a significant charitable effort to support the victims of the recent typhoon. The SPPF personnel came together, pooling together small contributions to finance the procurement of essential goods for those affected by the disaster.
Through their collective effort, SPPF successfully collected and contributed 15 boxes of vital supplies, including sardines and noodles, as well as 26 bags of rice. These items were handed over to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sablayan for distribution.
The donation drive was initiated by C/CINSP ABEL DR CIRUELA, MSCA, SPPF Acting Superintendent, with the support of CSO3 Lorelie G Silva, Deputy Superintendent for Administration, and Rev. Fr. Rolando DA Villanueva, Chief of the Moral and Spiritual Section. The collaboration highlights the spirit of unity and community support in times of need.
