Prominent officials and personnel from the Board of Pardons and Parole (BPP) led by USEC SERGIO R. CALIZO, JR, BPP, Chairman conducted a Prison Visit at the Leyte Regional Prison (LRP) on June 3-7, 2023.
During the visit, the BPP conducted interview to all Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) who are qualified for Parole and Executive Clemency. Prioritizing those were PDL with expired sentences, Senior Citizens and PDL with Special Time Allowance (STAL).
C/CINSP JOSEMARI D ALAMBRO, Deputy Superintendent, LRP and concurrent Deputy for Security and Operations ensured that visitors are provided security during the activity. Prior to that, necessary preparations were made by the PDL Documents and Processing Section (PDPS) through its Chief, CSO4 Maximo R Marcos II. The PDPS assisted the BPP in gathering all the information from the PDL carpetas.
In addition, the Parole and Probation Administration (PA) Region VIlI provided support as they were present and extended assistance to the BPP.
The PDL has been illuminated with the action of BPP as they supervised the status of their sentence.
