On December 13, 2024, the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) successfully continued its weekly feeding program, providing nutritious meals to 105 students at Itaas Elementary School (IES). The initiative also included a gift-giving program, bringing the spirit of Christmas among pupils.
CT/CSUPT MARIA FE R MARQUEZ, Head Executive Assistant, attended the event alongside Ms. RHODORA V. MANDAP, IES Principal. Ms. Desiree Gay Canaris, School Nurse, and BuCor personnel managed the distribution of meals and gifts to the pupils.
Through the initiative of Director General, GENERAL GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret.), CESE, CCLH, the BuCor broader its commitment to community engagement and support for educational institutions. Through this effort, the bureau hopes to promote better nutrition among children and encourage their educational development.
