BuCor Conducts Grand Finals of BUCOR GOT TALENT 2024

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) made waves with the successful Grand Finals of BUCOR GOT TALENT 2024, held in front of the Administrative Building of the National Headquarters in Muntinlupa City on June 12, 2024. The event was a fitting celebration of the 126th Philippine Independence Day, with the theme focusing on Original Pilipino Music (OPM).
The competition brought together talented BuCor personnel from both uniformed and non-uniformed ranks, who showcased their exceptional skills in various categories. The Grand Finals featured a range of competitions, including the Solo Singing Competition (divided into female and male categories), Duet Performances, Group Dances, and a thrilling Battle of the Bands.
In the Solo Singing category, CO1 Joynel Francia Gregorio from the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) emerged victorious in the female category, while CO3 Christian Cecilio B Collantes, also from NBP, wowed the judges and audience alike, clinching the top spot in the male category. The Duet Category witnessed a stellar performance by CO2 Gemali M Bulual and CO1 Rey Careras from the Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF), who stole the show with their harmonious collaboration. The Group Dance Competition was fiercely contested, but ultimately, the Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm (SPPF) team, composed of CO1 Jaylord M Matining, CO1 Reinalin F Santos, CO1 Crista May C Caballes, CO1 Lorry Jane L Dimayuga, CO1 Rubie Rose C Caballes, and CO1 Anthony G Matilac, emerged victorious.
Furthermore, the Dance Competition’s partner category was won by CO1 Jonel Paulino and CO1 Cassandra Joy Pablo from SPPF, while the Battle of the Bands was taken by the National Headquarters/New Bilibid Prison band. The winning band was comprised of CO3 Christian Cecilio B Collantes, CO1 April A Esporlas, CO1 James Earl S Barite, CO1 Ramil Bernard S Yamson, CO1 Elijah B Collantes, Mr. Jomel Micosa, Mr. David Pujante, Mr. John Paul Gutierrez, Mr. Eric Matignas Atienza, and Mr. Hardie Medina.
The event was a huge success, with participants and spectators alike enjoying the showcase of talent and creativity within the Bureau. Congratulations to all the winners and participants of BUCOR GOT TALENT 2024!
