BuCor, Global Justice Reform conducts Effective Principles of Prison Management

NEW BILIBID PRISON | The training on Effective Principles of Prison Management conducted by the Global Justice Reform spearheaded by Raymund E. Narag, PhD, in coordination with the Learning and Development Division (LDD), of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) was successfully culminated at the Social Hall, Administrative Building, National Headquarters, on July 28, 2023.

CT/SINSP DOMINIC R LIBREA, Chief Chaplain, Moral and Spritual Division (MSD) led the invocation followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Afterwards, a welcome message was delivered by C/CSUPT CELSO S BRAVO, Director, Directorate for Security and Operations, highlighting the importance of trainings in ensuring the quality of service that the BuCor personnel is rendering in the exigency of uniformed service. C/CSUPT BRAVO stressed that the training became possible through the endeavor of the Bureau of Corrections, headed by Director General, GENERAL GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret.), CESE, to reform the bureau starting off with professional growth and development of its personnel.
 
As part of the closing ceremony, Raymund E. Narag, PhD was called for the declaration of graduates. He congratulated every personnel who actively participated in various parts of the training; giving emphasis to those who took time to send a private message on how the training is effective in accomplishing their duties. Moreover, Prof. Narag expressed his sincerest optimism that the participants will stand for what they believe is right and the knowledge & skills they’ve learned from this training will transpire as they perform their assigned duties and responsibilities.
The certificates of completion were presented to the participants who successfully completed the training. The certificates were awarded by ASEC FRANCIS JOHN L TEJANO, GENERAL GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret.), CESE, GEN AL I PERRERAS, AFP (Ret.), C/CSUPT GERALDO I ARO, C/CSUPT CELSO S BRAVO, CT/SSUPT MA CECILIA V VILLANUEVA, C/CINSP ROGER O BONCALES, and Raymund E. Narag, PhD. Thereafter, GEN CATAPANG JR., delivered his message highlighting his plans for the graduates of the training and for the bureau. He also expressed his deepest hope that the training has been worthwhile and was able to give an extreme impact to the participants as they show and apply how much they learned from this training. Lastly, as his extension of his warm congratulations to the graduates, he performed a song which was enjoyed and appreciated by everyone.
 
Towards the end of the program, ASEC FRANCIS JOHN L TEJANO, Assistant Secretary, DOJ, delivered his inspirational message in which he applauded the efforts of the Director General to uphold dignity among the men and women of the institution.
 
This significant undertaking was facilitated by the office of the LDD through its Acting Chief, C/CINSP ROGER O BONCALES and realized under the leadership of C/CSUPT GERALDO I ARO, Director, Directorate for Administration. Such training is part of the collective efforts put forth by the administration of GENERAL GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret.), CESE.
