The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Audit Team of the Bureau of Corrections, National Headquarters (NHQ) conducted its annual audit for Quality Management System (QMS) at Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF) last May 8-12, 2023.
ISO an independent Non-Governmental Organization that develops international standards of managing processes to ensure the quality, safety and efficiency of services and systems. Also, DPPF has been awarded with an ISO 9001:2015 certification for incorporating QMS in its operations.
The Audit Team from the NHQ was composed of MR. THEODORE R PEREZ, Top Management/Support to Operations; CT/SUPT NOEL M MARQUES, Release; CTSO3 Jeanefer M Llanes, Reformation Admission; CTSO2 Rosa Lynn A Cordero, Security, ROAAP; CO1 Jann Marc T Balingit, Support to Operations/ROAAP; and CO1 Cluadine C Dineros, Secretariat.
They assessed the compliance on the standards of the agency’s organizational requirements, QMS, the alignment with Risk Management Guidelines (ISO 31000:2018), and the Public Service Continuity Plan (PSCP) of the different sections, units, and offices of this penal institution.
DPPF was able to provide all the necessary documents requested by the audit team. During the exit conference with the DPPF Officer In-Charge CSUPT RUFINO A MARTIN, MBA, CSMS, CINSP DIOMEDES DADOR, JR–Deputy Superintendent for Reformation, CSINSP RAYMUND DL PENEYRA, Commander of the Guards, CSINSP NONIE C FORRO, Chief, IDPS, and CINSP CONSTANCIO H BARSARSA, Chief, Overseer, Non-Commissioned Officers and Non-Uniformed Personnel, the audit team discussed their findings and gave guidance on matters to be complied by DPPF.
The DPPF is committed to demonstrate QMS conformance and implementation to improve its programs and provide better service to their clients.
