The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) represented by its Firefighting section and unit joined the grand kick-off parade at the Quirino Grandstand, Manila on March 01, 2024.
The Kick-off parade was organized and hosted by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) led by Fire Director LOUIE S PURACAN. It was attended by former Mayor of Mandaluyong City, HON. BENJAMIN ABALOS, SR., as Guest of Honor and Speaker on behalf of the Secretary of Interior and Local Government, ATTY. BENJAMIN ABALOS, JR.
Military and Uniformed Personnel (MUP), various government agencies, partners in the private and corporate sector, volunteer fire brigades and other stakeholders participated in the civic parade of trucks, emergency vehicles, and related assets and capabilities.
Led by C/INSP ARCHANGEL MARVYN A LAZO, MSCA, Chief of the General Services Division, BuCor fire trucks and ambulance proudly joined a parade of fire trucks and emergency vehicles, demonstrating the agency’s dedication to fire safety and quick response actions.
The BuCor, under the leadership of BuCor Director General GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret.) CESE, CCLH, pledges to continue supporting campaigns that promote fire prevention awareness nationwide.
