NEW BILIBID PRISON | On July 17-September 15, 2023, BuCor celebrated its Sportsfest with the theme “Sa Ahensyang Nagkakaisa at Aktibo, Magsisimula ang Pagbabago. “One Team, One Dream, One BuCor” at the National Headquarters, Muntinlupa City.
 
Sportsfest provides an opportunity for personnel to engage in activities that foster teamwork and collaboration. Through participation in team sports, employees learn to work together towards a common goal, enhancing communication, trust and mutual understanding. It fosters a sense of pride and camaraderie among employees, reinforcing values and creating a positive work environment.
 
C/CSUPT CELSO S BRAVO, Acting Deputy Director General for Reformation said in his opening remarks, “Though other participants did not win, be grateful because you are still winners since you supported and participated in this BuCor Sportsfest.”
 
“Sportsfest and Zumba are part of physical activities to promote programs for health and minds. By participating in this event, will give us a powerful immune system for more energy, better stress management process of collaborating with our team players, good communication and teamwork among us, promoting better physical health that will lead to improved camaraderie among us in BuCor. The performance also increases productivity in our respective workplaces. Lastly, to all the participants who won and lost, life must go on because all of us are winners in participating in this Sportsfest,” said by C/SSUPT GERARDO F PADILLA, PhD CSMS, Director, Directorate for Security and Operations (DSO) in his Inspirational Message.
 
The closing program of the BuCor Sportsfest 2023 highlighted the presentation of the Zumba Competition of participating teams composed of 12 clusters from the different Directorates and Camps and the awarding of winners in various sports.
