As part of the facility equipment upgrade, the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) Mindanao inaugurated its newly completed Commander of the Guard’s (COG) Office on June 17, 2024.
The simple ceremony was spearheaded by the Deputy Superintendent for Security and Operations for CIW-Mindanao, C/CINSP DIVINA S CAMIÑA, RCrim, MSCA along with the Commander of the Guards, C/INSP ESMERALDO MACARIOLA, Assistant Commander of The Guards, CSO2 Donald A Naungayan, and Reformation Coordinator for CIW-Mindanao CSO2 Josefina P Katigbak. The event was witnessed by the officers of CIW-Mindanao and staff of DPPF Public Information Office.
In her message, C/CINSP CAMIÑA lauded the officer behind the completion of the new COG office. “Through your hard work and dedication, finally, personnel assigned at the COG Office now have a wider and comfortable workplace, she said.”
C/CINSP DIVINA S CAMIÑA likewise thanked the Acting Superintendent, DPPF C/SINSP EDGARDO F MENDOZA, JR for his unwavering support and guidance to the plans and programs of CIW-Mindanao. With the Acting Superintendent’s decisive leadership, more infrastructure projects are underway including spacious offices of the Overseer Unit and the Inmate Visitation Services Unit.
The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) under the direction of Director General GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret), CESE, CCLH vows to fully support a modernized and progressive agency that could adapt to the changing times.
