The six-month training of Corrections Officer Custodial Basic Course (COCBC) Class 22-2022 “MAKSIL-DASIG” (Modernong Alagad ng Koreksiyon na may Serbisyong Integridad at Layunin ng Diyos ang Sandigan, Iginagalang at Gabay) concluded today, February 29, 2024. A ceremony was held in celebration of their graduation at the parade ground of New Bilibid Prison (NBP) Reservation, Poblacion, Muntinlupa City.
The Bureau of Corrections Director General GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret.) CESE, CCLH confirmed the 93 candidates for graduation.
After enduring physical exercises and academic programs, the 93 Corrections Officer 1 Trainees (CO1/T) of the COCBC Class 22-2022 “MAKSIL-DASIG”, comprised of 62 males and 31 females, will now embark on a new journey as Corrections Officers having the purpose of giving quality public service and implementing the mandates of the Bureau.
Ten (10) outstanding members of the Class 22-2022 “MAKSIL-DASIG” were awarded for their exemplary performance in the academic requirements of the course. The following individuals hold the top ranks (1-10, in order): CO1 Moraine Aira B Hiblawan, CTO1 Jean K Gumatin, CO1 Rizza Faiye L Cureg, CO1 Agape Jes C Solis, CO1 Neckaquila A Lopena, CTO1 Jessica B Oy-oy, CO1 Von Ryan G Gabion, CO1 Jocelyn A Ngoho, CO1 Ziegfred B Dionglay, and CO1 Alca Jell A De Sagun.
Meanwhile, CO1 John Christopher D Perez received the Leadership Award; CO1 Von Ryan G Gabion received the Tactical Leadership Award; CO1 John Denver D Ugasna and CO1 Rhodelyn B Awa bagged the Marksmanship Award for the male and female categories, respectively; CO1 Jonathan Y Banatao and CO1 Rizza Faiye L Cureg were awarded the Bernardo Carpio.
