The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) held a New Year’s Call with the theme “New Beginnings, Better Endings” at the Social Hall, National Headquarters, on January 6, 2025.
The event is an annual tradition attended by BuCor Key Officials and personnel who conveyed their courtesy and support to Director General, GENERAL GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR, AFP (Ret.), CESE, CCLH, honoring and appreciating his efforts for the corrections service. The attendees raised their glasses for a ceremonial toast, embracing a new journey of this year.
Director General CATAPANG reminded the personnel of their duties and dedicationto the continuous reformation and reintegration program for the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs). He also appreciated all the social and religious organizations involved in the reformation program of the PDLs.
Succeeding the event was a Command Conference at the New Conference Room, to discuss this year’s budget plans, including updates from the Operating Prison and Penal Farms (OPPFs).
The BuCor is now ready to face new beginnings to build a better future and improve strategic efforts, accepting new challenges and endless possibilities.
