On July 12, 2024 with C/CINSP ARTEMIO M MARTIN, Commander, BuCor Security and Escort Command (BSEC) as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, the Recognition Rites of Corrections Officer Custodial Basic Course (COCBC) Class of 2024-01 KASARIGAN “Kawal ng Koreksiyon na Aagapay sa Sinimulang Adhikain ng Bagong BuCor tungo sa Repormasyon, Isasa-isip at Gagampanan ang Alituntunin Ng sinumpaang tungkulin para sa Bagong Pilipinas” was conducted. This momentous event was spearheaded by C/CINSP LUCIO C GUEVARRA, Acting Director, Corrections National Training Institute (CNTI), and was held at the CNTI Parade Ground.
The Recognition Ceremony for the 41 strong members of Class KASARIGAN was graced by the presence of CMDR DALMACIO L CARINGAL PCGA, Acting Director, Directorate for Personnel Education and Training Services; CT/SINSP DOMINIC R LIBREA, Acting Chief, Moral and Spiritual Division, C/INSP ALLAN A ROSALES, Deputy Director, Applied Training Division, CNTI; CNTI personnel and the BuCor Band. Also, the BuCor Firefighting Section and the Directorate for Health Services provided assistance for any untoward incidents.
In his message, C/CINSP MARTIN gave insightful advice and a message that motivated the trainees. He added that the trainees should instill the Code of Ethics, Courtesy, and Discipline and lead and live with integrity as public servants. He ended his speech with a quote from Denzel Washington, “Without commitment, you’ll never start. But more importantly, without consistency, you’ll never finish.”
On this day, the newly recognized trainees will embark on a journey of greater responsibilities and bigger roles as future Corrections Officers 1 of the bureau.
