Successful transfer to new NBP Hospital Facility underway

In a substantial advancement in improving healthcare services, the initial phase of transferring patients and equipment from the temporary makeshift hospital to the newly-built New Bilibid Prison (NBP) Hospital facility commenced on July 27 and 28, 2024.
This critical operation is being executed under the diligent supervision of Acting Superintendent C/CINSP ROGER BONCALES, with Camp Commander C/SINSP HENRY AVILA and CT/SINSP KRISTOFFER F SOLIS overseeing operations.
As the transfer progresses, patients from Wards 2 and 3, essential hospital equipment, and various office supplies are being carefully relocated to the new building. Officials report significant progress, paving the way for improved medical care for the individuals in custody.
A preparatory meeting preceded the transfer. The main purpose of the meeting was to submit the security plans in compliance with the direct instructions of Director General GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR, AFP (Ret.), CESE, CCLH, to finish the transfer by the end of July 2024.
Throughout this process, the top priority remains the safety and security of all staff members and PDL patients. The Directorate for Health and Welfare Section (DHS), under the leadership of CT/CSUPT MA CECILIA V VILLANUEVA, MD, CPRO, is committed to ensuring a smooth transition. The new NBP Hospital facility will be fully operational soon, ready to serve the incarcerated community effectively.
