Successful Two-Day Seminar Workshop at Cavite Provincial Jail

A comprehensive two-day seminar workshop was successfully conducted at the Cavite Provincial Jail in Cavite City on June 3-4, 2024. The event, organized by the PDL Document and Processing Division (PDPD), sought to equip 19 Cavite Provincial Jail personnel, led by Cavite Provincial Warden CANDELARIO WARLLIE R. HERMO, with enhanced knowledge on Republic Act No. 10592.
The seminar was spearheaded by C/SINSP Raymund DL Peneyra and his team, including C/INSP Dexter Alcantara, CO3 Dennis Cortez, CTO1 Lilibeth Dueñas, CTO1 Joy Valencia, and CO1 Tricia Mae M. Gonzales. The sessions covered vital aspects of document processing, including the implementation of RA No. 10592, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the handling of PDL records.
The seminar workshop also delved into the Management Screening and Evaluation Committee (MSEC) deliberation process, empowering the personnel to effectively manage PDL evaluations and make informed decisions regarding their cases. Additionally, the attendees gained practical knowledge on computing time allowances, ensuring the fair and timely release based on legal requirements. Sample cases and best practices were presented which provided valuable insights to the participants.
This initiative was well-received by the participants, who expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge. As the Cavite Provincial Jail continues to prioritize the rehabilitation and well-being of its PDLs, this event play a crucial role in ensuring the professional and efficient operation of the facility.
The PDPD, through the guidance and support of BuCor Director General GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret.) CESE, CCLH, will continue to impart their expertise and knowledge, setting a benchmark for future training programs and enhancing the capabilities of correctional facility personnel.
