CIW PDL 5-day visitation privileges on Independence Day

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) organized a 5-day visiting privilege to the three hundred fifty-five (355) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) of the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City to visit their love ones who are also confined at the New Bilibid Prison-Maximum Security Camp and Medium Security Camp, in celebration of the 125th Anniversary of Philippine Independence and Nationhood with the theme “Kalayaaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.” on June 12-16, 2023 held at the Social Hall, National Headquarters.
 
BuCor Director General, GENERAL GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret.), CESE; J/SINSP ANGELINA L BAUTISTA (Ret.), Head Executive Assistant, Office of the Director General, OIC, Deputy Director General for Operations and concurrent Superintendent, New Bilibid Prison were present during the first day of the visit. In attendance also were GENERAL AL I PERRERAS AFP, (Ret.), Chief, Legal Service, C/SINSP PURIFICACION HARI, OIC Camp Commander, NBP-MaxSeCom and other personnel.
 
On June 16, 2023, some of the CIW PDL also visited their loved ones confined at the NBP-Reception Diagnostic Center on the last day of the event.
 
Indeed, the PDL were given the opportunity of a lifetime to meet their family, friends and loved ones, especially in this year’s meaningful celebration.
