Security Inspection at DPPF by the Directorate for Security and Operations

In accordance with the Bureau of Corrections’ mandate of safekeeping and instituting reformation programs for national PDLs, security inspections were conducted at DPPF and the Correctional Institution for Women-Mindanao (CIW-Min) under the supervision of C/CSUPT GERALDO I ARO, Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF) Superintendent.
 
On the 22nd and 25th of May 2023, C/CINSP EDUARDO P GOGORZA, Acting Director, Directorate for Security and Operations (DSO), concurrent Chief, Intelligence and Investigation Division and Chief, Communications/Tactical Operations Division, and party, along with C/SINSP RAYMUND F PENEYRA, Commander of the Guards, together with the personnel of the Communications Tactical Operations (CTOS) led by its chief, CO3 Amor C Baitan, carried out the security inspection.
 
The DPPF is outfitted with a Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) System that is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is used as a secondary means of Security Measure by the PPF. CCTV Units are strategically placed at all key posts, with designated CTOS employees on duty to provide effective visual security support in specified high-risk security zones. Furthermore, prior to the repositioning of some units, the system underwent technical inspections to increase its effectiveness. Similarly, security matters concerning DPPF and CIW-Min were considered for implementation in accordance with the Bureau of Corrections’ current security protocols.
