570th Air Base Group conducts an Outreach Program at CIW-Sta. Lucia

Iwahig, Puerto Princesa – On June 15, 2024, the 570th Air Base Group carried out a heartwarming outreach program at the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW)-Sta. Lucia of the Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm (IPPF).
This initiative is part of the upcoming 6th founding anniversary celebration of the 570th Air Base Group, led by LTC MARIA GHIRLY A SOLIS PAF (GSC). This is in partnership with Kiwanis International, showcasing camaraderie and goodwill among the participants. The day was filled with joy as the Air Sentinel Band of the Philippine Air Force serenaded the audience, followed by engaging games and a traditional Filipino “boodle fight.”
One of the highlights of said activity was the distribution of gift packs containing essential hygiene kits to 106 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs). This act of kindness not only offered practical assistance but also symbolized the group’s dedication to preserving the dignity of all individuals within the correctional facility. The Acting Supervisor of CIW-Sta. Lucia, CSO4 Mary Ann P Tabang, expressed her sincere gratitude to the Philippine Air Force for organizing an activity that significantly benefited the PDLs under our care.
The outreach program at the CIW-Sta. Lucia in Iwahig proved to be a memorable and impactful experience, highlighting the spirit of compassion and community service instilled in the 570th Air Base Group.
