DG CATAPANG JR leads the Oath Taking Ceremony of Lateral Entry, Newly Promoted, and Newly Hired COs, NCOs, and Civilian Personnel
Pride and honor filled the façade of the Administrative Building of the National Headquarters, Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) as promotees, officers, and families gathered for the Oath Taking Ceremony of Lateral Entry, Newly Promoted and Newly Hired Commissioned Officers (COs), Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs), and Civilian Personnel on 12 June 2025.
The ceremony was led by DIRECTOR GENERAL GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret), CESE, CCLH, who administered the oath-taking ceremony of personnel. Present during the activity were ASEC AL I PERRERAS, Deputy Director General for Administration, and other Key Officials.
A total of 89 Corrections Officers bureauwide were promoted to higher ranks. Among them, 1 officer was elevated from Corrections Technical Superintendent (CT/SUPT) to Corrections Technical Senior Superintendent (CT/SSUPT), 1 from Corrections Technical Chief Inspector (CT/CINSP) to Corrections Technical Superintendent (CT/SUPT), 5 from Corrections Senior Inspector (C/SINSP) to Corrections Chief Inspectors (C/CINSP).
Additionally, 1 personnel advanced from Corrections Technical Inspector (CT/INSP) to Corrections Technical Senior Inspector (CT/SINSP) through lateral entry, 9 Corrections Inspectors (C/INSP) to Corrections Senior Inspectors (C/SINSP), 18 Corrections Senior Officers 4 (CSO4) to Corrections Inspectors (C/INSP), and 54 Non-Commissioned Officers were also promoted to a notch higher. Furthermore, eight Civilian Personnel were also included in the promotion, while four personnel were hired.
This event is an opportunity to recognize the commitment to sworn duties, excellence, and leadership capabilities of the newly promoted and newly hired officers.
