BuCor hosts 2nd Proficiency Shoot in Muntinlupa City

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) successfully conducted its 2nd BuCor Proficiency Shoot at the BuCor Shooting Range in Muntinlupa City, hosted by the Team Catz Gun Club, Inc., led by Mr. Jun Catalan. The event, which took place on July 13, 2024, brought together selected 5-man teams from various Operating Prison and Penal Farm (OPPF).
BuCor Director General GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR., AFP (Ret.), CESE, CCLH led the Ceremonial Shoot along with BuCor Key Officials and other prominent figures who showed their support for the event.
The proficiency shoot results were impressive, with CO1 Teresa Jop from NBP emerging as the Lady Shooter Champion. CO1 Lea Pacete from IPPF secured the 1st Runner-up spot. In the Male Category, CTSO1 Melvin Deang from NBP claimed the Champion Title, followed by CO2 Mario Ines from SPPF as the 1st Runner-up. CTO2 Reynaldo Alagao from IPPF took the 2nd Runner-up position, with CO1 Rovin Taylan from NBP and CO3 Rowell De Gracia, also from NBP securing the 3rd and 4th Runner-up spots, respectively. CSO2 Allan Arzadon from IPPF emerged as the Champion in the Senior Individual Category, with C/CINSP MICHAEL M MARTIN as the 1st Runner-up.
Among the highlights of the event was the presentation of awards to the best teams, with NBP Team 1 emerging as the undisputed champions, followed closely by SRPPF Team as the 1st Runner-up, IPPF Team as the 2nd Runner-up, SPPF Team as the 3rd Runner-up, and NBP Team 3 as the 4th Runner-up, in a tightly contested competition.
In addition to team accolades, individual champions were also recognized for their outstanding performance. The DPPF Team claimed the All-Steel Relay Champion title, earning a prestigious trophy and a cash prize of 20,000 pesos. The SPPF Team secured the 1st Runner-up position, receiving a trophy and a cash prize of 10,000 pesos for their performance.
