BuCor with CSC conducts reorientation on the duties and functions

of the 4 Core HR Systems

On October 13, 2023 – DIRECTOR II MARGARITA G. REYES of Civil Service Commission (CSC), Field Office – Department of Science and Technology (FO-DOST), conducted a reorientation on the duties and functions of the four (4) Core HR Systems at the New Conference Room, Administrative Building, New Bilibid Prison.
 
This activity was attended by fifty-one (51) Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) personnel with additional functions as members in the Performance Management Team (PMT), Human Resource Merit, Promotion, and Selection Board (HRMPSB), Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE), and Grievance Committee.
 
This reorientation aims to empower and enhance the awareness of the BuCor Officials and officers and other employees on the duties and functions of the 4 Core HR systems since we foreground on the idea that we need to continuously improve on our systems that require cohesiveness between teams, work motivation, and effective management of people and employees’ productivity.
 
ASEC AL I PERRERAS, Deputy Director General for Administration, and ASEC GIL T TORRALBA, Deputy Director General for Operations, graced this meaningful event by their presence thru their opening remarks that highlight the significance of this reorientation for the BuCor personnel and the organization as a whole.
 
Indeed, the strategic leadership of GENERAL GREGORIO PIO P CATAPANG JR. AFP (Ret.), CESE, Director General, BuCor, who always initiates ways and exerts efforts to ensure progress and strengthen the corrections service of this bureau, to make our organization at par with the United Nations standards. The restructuring, upgrading, and professionalization of the BuCor personnel is part of his administration that aims to contribute to the fulfilment of this Bureau’s strategic priorities.
